Home Study
A home study is completed to provide information about the home and family environment for the children, including some information about those who reside in it. Home studies are often requested when parenting ability or capacity is not necessarily in question but no one has been able to see the environment the child will be visiting or residing in upon a potential move. The request may come from an assessor, the parties on consent, or a child protection agency. The information is sent in the form of a short report and may or may not include photographs.
